Laboratory testing in Islamabad

Almost every diagnosis starts with a number. Before a doctor can treat anything with confidence, something has to be counted, measured or cultured, and that figure has to be right. The laboratory is where that happens: samples are logged on arrival, run on analysers calibrated and quality-controlled that morning, and verified by a qualified pathologist before anything is released to you.

Seven disciplines sit inside the laboratory and they answer different kinds of question. Haematology counts your blood cells. Biochemistry measures the chemistry those cells swim in — sugar, cholesterol, liver and kidney markers. Hormones covers the thyroid, fertility and the endocrine system. Microbiology grows organisms and finds the antibiotic that kills them. Immunology looks for the antibodies your body makes against an infection. Molecular testing finds the organism's genetic material directly. Histopathology reads tissue under a microscope.

For most of this we can come to you. Anything needing a blood, urine or stool sample can be collected at your door at no charge for the visit, handled and reported to exactly the same standard as a sample given at the centre.
